HOW TO SET UP A DEDICATED SERVER:

Download server files (v0.3d)

Introduction

So, I guess you've heard about the new thing released by us (alterIWnet) that brings the most-requested missing feature in MW2 to, well, MW2? It took quite a lot of researching, and some say it may be late, but anyway, it's finally here.

As you're reading this guide, I guess you're interested in setting up one of those, what do you call it, 'dedicated servers'? Even though most of the process is similar to previous titles in the Call of Duty series, there are some specific things that differ, and obviously having a guide is better than having none.

The guide

Firstly, you need to have the usual alterIWnet client files installed on a MW2 installation. If you're using a dedicated server (or VPS) hosted somewhere, you can also ZIP and upload the usual alterIWnet installation you play with. Note that you will not be able to play with the dedicated server at all.
Now, extract and overwrite the files from the dedicated server package to your MW2 installation on the system you're planning to run the dedicated server on.
~~As I forgot to pack it in with the package, make a copy of your iw4mp.dat and name it iw4.exe.~~ (fixed)
Also, optionally, download content/nulliwd.7z (contains empty IWD files, make sure you don't accidentally your originals!)
Make a server configuration file (see the chapter 'Configuration file' for more information). You can skip this step, but it's a lot easier to maintain the server with a configuration file.
On Windows, you can make a shortcut to run the server by hand -- to do this, make a shortcut to 'iw4.exe', open the properties for it, and add the launch options (see the 'Launching' chapter) to the 'Target' input field. For other systems or methods of launching, see the 'Launching' chapter as well.
Run the server using the method you chose for launching it.
To see if everything works correctly, run the alterIWnet client (make sure that, if on the same computer, the server is not using port 28960) and, in the console, use 'connect [IP]:28960', replacing 28960 with the specific port for the server. Also, 127.0.0.1 won't work locally, so use the IP assigned to your network card

Configuration file

Create a text file in any directory on the search path (either 'main' or 'players', it depends on which you like) with a name like 'server.cfg' (note how later parts of the guide will refer to this name). Most of the commands you use are similar to CoD4, and you can use most of the guides for CoD4 configuration files for the alterIWnet MW2 server.

A template configuration file is shown below:

2. Join the game and switch to the WinConsole (by Ctrl+Alt+Del) or run game in window mode (r_fullscreen 0 in config_mp.cfg)

Easier guide for getting host:

1. Join 3rd Person Cage Match playlist
2. Once you get into a game (and are host), enter the following commands in your console:
sv_maxclients 18
party_maxplayers 18
map mp_rust
3. Once you've loaded Rust, enter the following:
scr_dm_timelimit 1
4. The game will end in a minute, from there you should have a lobby with 18 available slots. The next step is to type:
playlist dm
5. This will switch the playlist over to Team Deathmatch. The first game will be a FFA, and all games after that will be TDM.

You can use these commands to change the gametype (NOTE: you MUST be in a game to do this, and you MUST replace with the gametype, read dan2k5's post above me for them, additionally, you MUST replace with the map name, you can find these in /Server/zone/english/. They all have "mp_" before them.):

Also, if you want to get rid of 3rd person, just do:

1. Install Steam that is in the folder "SteamInstall.exe"
2. Creat a new account on Steam, don't use your existing account if you have it

14. Right click on Zero Gear game and select "Run Game", now it launch COD MW2 multiplayer and you can finally play it online

IMPORTANT: Remember to run always Steam in background, if you close it you will not able to play
Do not run the COD MW2 multiplayer from the installation folder, use always the shoutcut under Steam, otherwise it kick you after 2 minutes of play

NOTE: IF SHOWS Failed to login Steam Lobby, Steam Connection Failed.. - Reinstall Steam and do all steps again! It happened to me and after reinstalling it works!! :)

-> Create Room -> Match (Friendly Match) -> Create Room -> Ready -> and wait for friend :)

- Turn off Firewall
- Go to PES folder, open settings.exe, Online, remove tick from Enable UPnP, tick Auto,

*Note: If you have any of these programs installed on your mobile there is no problem continuing the installation, however, this ones have been tested, none others, so if you have any trouble during the procedure uninstall the ones you have and re-install Drakkarious.sis.
**Note2: Drakkarious.sis intalls X-pore 1.20 (BinPda cracked version) on your phone, so if you wish to get the latest version of it, please install it before you install drakkarious.sis

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

1.- Change phone date to 15-05-2007
2.- Go to your application manager and configure its settings to accept all software installations and not to check certificates online.
3.- Start drakkarious.sis installation according to the following:
3.1- For nokia 3250, 5500, E50, E51, and E61 please install "Drakkarious 2.01 3250 5500 E50 E51 E61.SiS", during installation the program will prompt you what phone your using, you must leave only the one your using with the box ticked, and all others unticked.
3.2- For all other nokia models you must install "Drakkarious 2.01 FP1 & PreFP1.SiS", and choose the phone tipe according to the following list:

After installing please follow this procedure:

4.1.-Run X-plore and press "0", tick the 4 boxes (dont un-tick if ticked already)
4.2.-Without closing X-plore switch to the menu and run hellocarbide
4.3.-Inside hellocarbide press options and chose Menu1 and answer "yes".
4.4.-Go back to X-plore and extract installserver.exe and CProfDriver_SISX.ldd from your c:\hack.rar into c:\sys\bin
4.5.-Restart your phone.
4.6.-Change the date back to the present.
4.7.-Install whatever you want on your phone, even if it is unsigned

1. After installation of GTA IV, go to "GTA IV Razor Cr4ck & Updates" install "GTAIV_MAINTENANCE_UPDATE_1040" - it is the 1.0.4.0 patch.
2. Copy "1911.dll" and "LaunchGTAIV.exe" to folder where you have installed GTA IV
3. Install "gfwlivesetupmin.exe".
4. Run a game and create a offline account on Windows LIVE.
5. Install hamachi
6. double click on GTA IV con, click yes, ok
7. double click on appInit_DLLS, click yes, ok
8. double click on LoadAppInit_DLLs, click yes, ok
9. Copy TeknoGods.dll into GTA IV folder, where you installed the game..

When you want to Host:

Open your cellphone -> Multiplayer -> Player Match -> LAN -> Create Match -> (Choose game mode) -> Start ->wait for others:

When you want to join:

Cellphone -> Multiplayer -> Player Match -> LAN -> Custom Match -> Refresh (F5) -> Pick game -> Try clicking CTRL+F12 in the
same time or it will say "Unable to join game"..

1. Unrar it, don't move it to game folder!
2. Delete teknogods.dll entry from App_Init_dlls (Run->regedit-> [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows]
double click on App_Init_dlls -> delete teknogods.dll .. enter
3. Run DLLLOAD.exe
4. Run GTA 4 (DLLLOAD.exe should say Grand theft Auto found.. Injected to base...)

In the lobby before joining a game press CTRL+F12 and once joined press again to prevent the game from crashing.
You will hear sound from each patching.

Windows 3.1

1.Download this: http://w3ki.tk.googlepages.com/win_s60v5.rar
2.Copy "Win3.1 on s60v5 Essentials Package" on mem card, go to "dosbox dependencies"- install everything from that folder on memory card
3.Go back to DosBox-install dosbox.sisx on memory card
4.Install virtual keyboard
5.Copy dosbox.conf and premapper from folder "data" that is in win3.1 essentials, copy that in data folder on your phone memory(not memory card)
6.Copy CALMIRA and WINDOWS from main Data folder that is in win_s60v5, copy it on memory card in folder "memory:\dos\c" (make folders dos and c if doesn't exist)
7.Run Virtual Keyboard, adjust it as you want, and keep it opened
8.Run DosBox, windows 3.1 would load, use virtual keyboard for navigation even you can use your stylus but it isn't so smooth :) enjoy

Windows 95

unpack file in memory card in data folder.
run dosbox and wait 2 auto setup and run windows.

If you find files you want to install on your Nokia phone with the word “unsigned,” then you might want to read this. Here are sets of instructions to get a developer’s certificate to sign the unsigned apps and install on your Nokia S60 phone.

1.Go to http://opda.net.cn/

2.Register an account and get certificate (follow my screenshots) , or contact me on xvekix@gmail.com, i'll get you a certificate :)

2. DOWNLOAD HELLOOX, SIGN IT

Download HelloOX, Installserver and SignSIS from here: http://w3ki.tk.googlepages.com/hack5800.rar
1. Sign HelloOX
2. Install HelloOX on memory card
3. Run HelloOX, hit yes to all, uninstall when it says "You can uninstall me now".
4. Download the Installserver_v21.rmp, place a copy of it on folder patches on your memory card.

5. Open ROMpatcher on your phone, Highlight ChangeSWIpolicyPath, hit options, patch, apply, hit add to auto..

6. Do the same steps for other (Installserver, Open4all), when it's all green, it's done (h4ck3d)!

7. Hit exit.. 5800 Completely h4ck3d!! Enjoy!!
